Just like the collar of a suit shirt, hot melt adhesive sometimes penetrates into the fabric and becomes slightly visible on the surface.
These small hemp-like spots appear occasionally,
but fortunately, they are generally not obvious.

Because the film was in black and white, many people mistakenly believed the dress was blue. However, research based on the original movie posters confirmed that the dress was actually beige, not blue.

What was the texture of the original shirt?
After carefully reviewing the film, Vivi believed that the fabric of the original white shirt had a texture between pure cotton and chiffon.
It combined the softness of chiffon with the crispness of cotton, and it was not easy to wrinkle.
Therefore, Vivi had the fabric custom-made by the factory according to her own specifications.
The original movie shirt featured a raglan sleeve design (seamless shoulder).
Most other versions on the market overlook this detail, using puff or stitched sleeves based on modern tailoring, which dilutes the vintage charm.

Meticulous Craftsmanship in the Collar Stitching
The collar in the original movie design features extremely fine, parallel stitching — seen across the back, shoulders, and cuffs.
Each stitching line is only 1 millimeter wide, requiring perfect alignment with no crooked or uneven lines.
An experienced tailor needs 4–6 hours to complete the stitching on just one shirt, maintaining full concentration, as even the slightest deviation could ruin the garment.
In other words, the effort required to make one such white shirt equals the work of making 4–6 winter coats.
To cut costs, most other stores on the market use machine-pressed seams instead.
However, at Vivi, every shirt is made with hand-stitched 1 mm parallel seams, faithfully restoring the craftsmanship of the original.

Waistband
The original movie version featured a waistband with excellent firmness and strong shaping ability — it held its form perfectly without wrinkling, no matter how tightly it was tied. The waistband and buckle were made from the same fabric, ensuring a seamless and cohesive look.
Most similar styles sold online use pre-made buckles that only match in color, not in material, compromising the texture and overall finish.

Skirt Length
Mr. Dior once said that the most elegant skirt length for a lady is about 20 centimeters above the ground — the perfect balance of grace and proportion.
Vivi and the studio recreated this length exactly as in the original movie version. After making it ourselves, we finally understood why the cheaper skirts online, sold for around $100, can’t compare — the difference in detail may seem small, but a tiny deviation makes a world of difference.
This skirt has a full 360-degree flare that falls just below the knees. To achieve the same soft flow and fullness, we use nearly one-third more fabric than ordinary skirts.
Cheaper versions often shorten the length by 5–7 centimeters, losing the natural movement and elegance that define the original classic.
Both sides of the original skirt had pockets.
Vivi’s version also includes pockets on both sides, staying true to every detail of the original movie design.
